Building the Metaverse on Substack

The Future of Community is 1:1

I've maintained a Medium blog for a long time: I made my first post there in February 2014, and since then I've gained over 5000 followers and some articles have over 100K reads. Despite that, I'm dipping my toe into Substack.

Why? Because it is my belief that the best platforms will unleash creators to connect directly with their communities. Medium is not terrible at that, but it doesn’t help as much as it should.

I do not need to be part of a bundled offering.

I’m more interested in deepening my relationship with you—an audience of innovators who are building the next generation of immersive experiences, games and “metaverse” applications. You are leaders and enthusiasts in virtual words, 3D graphics, artificial intelligence and games. We can help each one of us in this community so much more.

You give me the opportunity to open-source my thinking, learning from each of you—and hopefully, synthesizing and distilling this learning process for you all to benefit from.

With that goal in mind, what do you think? Should I complete the move to Substack?
